According to Justin Frimpong Kodua, General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), the administration has sufficient personnel to reverse the nation’s economic woes.

By the end of 2023, Mr. Kodua predicted, the economy will resume its upward trajectory.

He emphasized that the government just needs Ghanaians’ cooperation to get through the crisis and emerge with a better and more robust economy.

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, following a health walk around the main streets of Mpraeso, the general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said to some party members, “Akufo-Addo has indicated that the NPP has the ability to turn the economy around.

By the end of the year, the economy will likely be doing well, in our opinion. The only reason we ask for your help is because the alternative is worse, meaningless, and hopeless.

The Ghanaian economy has been in a free fall for the past few years, which has had terrible effects on both Ghanaians and enterprises.

Ghana’s government sought financial aid from the International Monetary Fund to avert the crisis.

After a program agreement is established, the government hopes to receive $3 billion from the IMF over a three-year period.

The government claims that the IMF program aims to, among other things, restore macroeconomic stability and protect debt sustainability.
