In the upcoming general elections of 2024, Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame has voiced optimism that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will end the eight-year political cycle.
He claims that the main thing that sets them apart from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a strong and unambiguous message.
After meeting behind closed doors with key party leaders in the Bono Region, Dame stressed to the media in Sunyani how much the NPP’s message was more clear than the NDC’s.
“I am very confident because our message is quite clear, and the message of the NDC can’t be seen,” as quoted by myjoyonline.com.
Criticizing the NDC for failing to articulate their core platform of a 24-hour economy, he claimed that the NPP, under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is more appealing to voters.
In order to accomplish their aim, the Attorney General emphasized the significance of maintaining party unity.
He exhorted party members to set aside disagreements and conflicts from the past, especially those that emerged when choosing candidates for each constituency.
“They must put behind all the challenges and divisions that occurred in the selection of a candidate for each constituency,” he stated.
“We have to be bold in propagating all the achievements that we have chalked up over the past eight years and preach all the messages we have for Ghanaians,” he stated.
