Offinso North DCE is dead

On Monday, November 7, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH),Hon David Kwasi Asare Boakye, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Offinso North in the Ashanti Region, passed away.

According to Alex Frimpong, the dean of the region’s Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), his colleague passed away after a brief illness.

“He has been sick for more than two weeks, and we sent a delegation to visit him at Akumadan,” Frimpong said. “He was sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and we sent another delegation to visit him.”

He said, “Unfortunately, this morning we woke up and word broke that he has died away, we have confirmed through the wife, just when we believed he was recuperating.

Asante Akyem South’s MCE, Frimpong, characterized the late DCE as diligent.
The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG)in a statement issued by the President Hon Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh has commiserates with the Offinso North District Assembly.
