According to the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, 2,417 complaints from private citizens and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have been submitted to the committee thus far.

This was disclosed by ORAL Committee Chairman Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on Monday, February 10, when the team’s final report was presented to President John Dramani Mahama.

This program is a component of continuous initiatives to fight corruption and reclaim public funds that have been embezzled.

“We received 1,493 calls through the toll-free line. We also received 924 emails. Fortunately, all the calls are recorded automatically, and the emails have also been preserved for verification and validation.

“In total, the number of complaints received amounts to 2,417 complaints.”

He underlined how important the ORAL Committee is and asked the petitioners what they would have done if the President hadn’t set it up.

“So, those who had any doubt about how relevant and timely the President’s intervention was at the time, this is your evidence. 2,417 complaints received. Where would all of these people have gone if President Mahama had not set up the ORAL preparatory team?”
