Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been warned by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) that if he does not show up for interrogation on Monday, June 2, 2025, he will be listed as a wanted individual once more.

This is in reaction to a complaint that Mr. Ofori-Atta brought against Kissi Agyebeng, the head of the OSP, alleging that they illegally declared him wanted.

In a statement, the OSP explained that Mr. Ofori-Atta had asked to be taken off its wanted list on his own initiative, promising to appear in person for interrogation on a prearranged date.

The OSP temporarily deleted his name in good faith, but they have since made it clear that noncompliance will result in his instant restoration as a fugitive.

OSP has threatened to issue an Interpol Red Notice for his arrest and start extradition procedures in any jurisdiction where he might be located in such a scenario.

In addition to declaring that Mr. Ofori-Atta is still the principal suspect in five active corruption and corruption-related investigations, the Special Prosecutor underlined its dedication to upholding accountability.
