Parliament sympathizes with the family of Hon. Naser Toure Mahama

Parliament has conveyed profound sadness regarding the death of Ayawaso East’s Member of Parliament, Naser Toure Mahama, calling his demise a significant loss to the House, the country, and the constituents he diligently served.

In a statement issued on Sunday, January 4, 2026, on behalf of the Speaker of Parliament, the House leadership and Parliamentary Service expressed that Ghana has lost a devoted public servant whose commitment to national progress and constituency representation was well acknowledged.

 

 

The statement mentioned that the deceased MP was a dedicated and principled lawmaker who fulfilled his responsibilities with honesty, accountability, and a deep commitment to his constituents.

The Parliament of the Republic of Ghana has learned with profound sadness of the passing of Hon. Naser Toure Mahama, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East. This morning, the Nation has lost a dedicated public servant, a steadfast champion for his constituents, and a member whose commitment to the advancement of Ghana was unwavering.

On behalf of the Speaker of Parliament, the Leadership of Parliament, and the entire Parliamentary Service, we extend our deepest condolences to the family,his colleagues in Parliament, his constituents in Ayawaso East, and all who were touched by his work and his humanity.

Hon. Naser Toure Mahama served our country with diligence, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility. His contributions to the House, his advocacy for development projects, and his tireless efforts to improve the lives of the people he represented will be remembered. He embodied the ethos of service and the spirit of philanthropy that are the hallmarks of public service.

This is a difficult time for Parliament and for the people of Ayawaso East. We share in the pain of his family and hold them in our thoughts and prayers. May the Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and grant his loved ones the strength to bear this loss.
