The second list of ministerial nominees will be vetted by the Appointment Committee of Parliament between Thursday, January 23, and Monday, January 27, 2025.
On Thursday, January 17, President John Mahama announced his second group of appointees, which consisted of four women and five men.
Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 in the New Administration Block of Parliament will host the meetings, which are set to start at 8:30 AM every day.
H.E. the President’s nominees for various regional ministerial jobs will be reviewed and taken into consideration by the committee during this time.
The Parliamentary Press Corps has been invited to attend and report on the vetting process, and the committee has formally asked for media coverage of the process.
The President’s first ministerial nominations included three other people, all of whom have been vetted and are awaiting approval: Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), John Jinapor (Energy), and Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Justice).
Since taking office, the President has since nominated and appointed new people.
