The Member of Parliament for Assin North, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, was accompanied yesterday to the S.D.A Church, El Shaddai Seventh Day Church, and the Savior Church, all in Breku, to express gratitude to God for a resounding victory in the recently concluded by-election.
The delegation included branch, constituency, regional, and national executives of the NDC as well as some members of parliament.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the NDC’s 2020 vice presidential candidate, led the team on Day 2 of the #AssinNorthThankYouTour.
The team also paid visits to the families of the NDC member who died in the aforementioned tragic event as well as twenty-six (26) party members who were hurt in a horrifying accident at Dansame prior to the recently concluded election.
To help with their nourishment and transportation to the hospital, each of the 26 injured party members received a token in the amount of GHS 500. This came after the party’s flag-bearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, fully covered all of the injured people’s medical expenditures.
On his part, the newly elected member of parliament gave the injured people the assurance that he would be visiting them soon to introduce a long-term financial aid program for them.
Today at 11 a.m., the NDC’s flagbearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, also joined the party’s leadership at Assin Breku for the conclusion of the party’s Thank You Tour. He took part in a large rally at the Methodist School Park as well as a nondenominational Thanksgiving Church Service.
