Police arrest suspect for the murder of an 85-year-old man in the Volta Region

The Police on June 16, 2022, arrested John Adonu, a welder, for his suspected involvement withinside the homicide of an 85-yr-old man, Joseph Tawiah Darko in Kpetoe, withinside the Volta Region.

The 85-yr old deceased, was said missing on June 14, 2022, after he had left his house on the 13th June and did now no longer return. On June 15, 2022, his decapitated body was discovered under a tree on his farm.

The body has now been sent to Ho Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.

Investigations are ongoing and efforts are being made to arrest others whose names have arisen withinside the investigations and are suspected to be related to the homicide.

Suspect John Adonu was placed before court on Friday, June 17 and has been remanded to reappear on June 29, 2022. The Police has appeal for aid from the individuals of the Kpetoe town mainly and the general public at large to dove out facts for them to research into the case.
