“Police today are much equipped than they have ever been” – Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has commended the police service for what he called its “changing face” and transformation, saying other state agencies should take note of it.

The President claims that the renovation of police headquarters, spearheaded by Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, is the clearest example of the police’s transformation.

The President stated that his administration has better-equipped the Police than any other in recent history during the State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday.

“Government has performed much creditably; the police today are much equipped than they have ever been the increased Police visibility on the streets goes a long way to assure the community.

“The changing phase of the police is perhaps best exemplified by the dramatic facelift of they have given the frontage of the police headquarters on the Ring Road in Accra, it is beautiful and I recommend to all institutions and indeed household,” he stated.
