A taxi driver was shot and killed by a female police officer at Tetegu in the Greater Accra Region around 11 PM on Monday.
Eyewitnesses claim the officer entered the taxi in Dansoman and threatened to fire at the driver when they arrived at Tetegu junction regarding the fare.
The warning was executed, and the motorist was shot in the chest.
The officer assigned to the National Headquarters tried to escape the scene by discarding her pistol and running into a nearby bush.
Nonetheless, an Uber driver struck her down, and Okada riders then turned her over to the Weija police patrol team.
The officer is presently held at the New Weija District Police Command, where she is undergoing treatment.
Ongoing investigations into the incident are being conducted by Ghana Police Service.
