President Akufo-Addo appoints Herbert Krapa as new Minister for Energy

Mr. Herbert Krapa has been formally appointed as Ghana’s Minister of Energy by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his appointment will take effect on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

The Jubilee House’s Communications Directorate made the announcement in a statement.

Since July 15, 2024, Mr. Krapa has been recognized for his steadfast commitment and proficiency as Minister of State in the Ministry of Energy.

The President praised Mr. Krapa for exhibiting “a steadfast commitment to his duties,” which has greatly enhanced Ghana’s energy sector, in a statement issued on November 20, 2024, and signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Office of the President.

“Mr. Krapa will continue to distinguish himself in his new role, ensuring the continued growth and transformation of the energy sector in service to the nation,” said President Akufo-Addo, expressing his trust in Mr. Krapa’s ability to head the ministry efficiently.
