President Akufo-Addo appoints new Chief of Air Staff

As of today, January 26, 2023, President Akufo-Addo has chosen Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe as Chief of Air Staff.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 212 of the constitution, the appointment was made after consultation with the Council of State.

This comes after his predecessor, Air Vice Marshal Frank Hanson, ended his term of service and retired from the Ghana Armed Forces.

On addition to wishing the former Chief of Air Staff well in his retirement, President Akufo-Addo thanked him for his committed and honorable service to the Ghana Armed Forces and the country.
