President Akufo-Addo in France for Paris Peace Summit

At the invitation of H. E. Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of France, and Rt. Hon. Chris Hipkins, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left Ghana to attend the 5th Christchurch Call Leaders’ Summit, which is set to take place in Paris, France on Friday, November 10, 2023.

While in France, President Akufo-Addo will also take part in the Sixth Edition of the Paris Peace Forum, which is set to take place on November 10 and 11, 2023, at the invitation of Mr. Angel Gurria, the President of the Paris Peace Forum.

Along with him were representatives from the Foreign Ministry and the Presidency, as well as Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

On Sunday, November 12, 2023, President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana. In his absence, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would assume the role of President Akufo-Addo in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution.
