President Mahama appoints Nurudeen Abass-Adams as acting CEO of Social Investment Fund

President John Mahama has named Abass-Adams Nurudeen, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Ashanti Regional Communications Officer, the Social Investment Fund’s Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Article 195 (1) of the Constitution was followed in making the nomination.

The Secretary to the President announced this in a statement on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The nomination is contingent upon the advice of the Fund’s governing Board, which is mandated by the Constitution and given after consulting with the Public Services Commission, the statement said.

The statement further encouraged Mr. Nurudeen to notify whether he accepts or rejects the nomination within 14 days, noting that it takes effect immediately as of Friday, January 24, 2025.
