Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has been directed by President John Dramani Mahama to begin looking into the financial misconduct and corruption charges found in the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) report right now.

This directive comes after the President received a comprehensive report from the ORAL committee detailing 2,417 public accusations of alleged wrongdoing.

The findings, which Mahama called “sober reading,” showed large financial leaks that have cost the country money intended for social development, infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

“I have promptly handed over the report to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, and I give him firm instructions to commence immediate investigations into the cases reported in here,” Mahama said.

The recovery of embezzled public funds through ORAL is an example of Mahama’s dedication to combating corruption and enhancing accountability. He gave the public his word that any recovered resources would be used for national development and that safeguards against further losses would be strengthened.

He continued, “I assure you that this government remains your steadfast partner in building a nation where honesty and hard work are rewarded to those who stand for integrity, accountability, and the rule of law.”

Mahama stated that the report’s suggestions would be thoroughly examined and, if required, legal action would be taken “without fear or favour.”
