Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, former Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho, and thirty other notable people have been formally sworn in as members of the Council of State by President John Dramani Mahama.
The Council is charged with advising and assisting the President on important national issues, therefore the swearing-in ceremony, which took place at Jubilee House on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, marks a significant milestone in Ghanaian government.
