Prof. Jane Naana Opku Agyemang has been hailed by a supporter of former President John Dramani Mahama as the ideal candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2019 general election.
Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was cited by Joyce Bawa Mogtari as a strong candidate for the position and is expected to fare well in the hotly contested 2024 elections.
This helps to dispel claims that if ex-President Mahama keeps his running mate, he might not have a chance in the 2024 election.
However, Joyce Bawa Mogtari claimed in an interview on GHOne TV on Thursday that the 2020 running mate has distinguished herself sufficiently to get another opportunity.
“I think she has a good chance of winning; I think we’re about to win a close election and make history. At a time when we must give it everything we’ve got, Naana Jane stands out, but there are many others as well. As I previously stated, these are judgments that very high-ranking people would naturally make after consulting with the flagbearer and numerous other stakeholders, but we are extremely far behind in the process of doing so” She stated.
