The National leadership of the opposition National Patriotic Party (NPP) was presented with a report of the investigation by the 12-member committee tasked with looking into the party’s loss in the 2024 general elections on Wednesday, April 16.
The committee’s chairman, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, and his staff gave the party the official documents at the occasion, which took place at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
Party leaders such as former President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Bawumia, former running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and the party’s general secretary, Justin Kodua, were among those there.
Finding the reason for the party’s election failure and devising strategies to deter similar actions in the future were the goals of the investigation.
Prof. Mike Oquaye declined to comment on the document when the findings were presented to the party.
The results have not yet been made public by the party.
