“Punish the corrupt NPP officials who have stolen and continue to steal from the poor taxpayer”- Mahama

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has urged Ghanaians to vote against the “corrupt, greedy and arrogant” NPP government and instead support him and Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

In addition, the former president appealed to Ghanaians to support reform in the general elections of 2024, promising to reinstate the status and dignity of the presidency.

He is asking for an order to restore the office’s prestige since he feels that it has been undermined by the current administration.

Mahama expressed hope that Ghanaians will give him their votes in order to lessen the suffering and sufferings the country is currently experiencing, ending the current difficult phase and bringing in a new one of wealth and advancement.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Mr Mahama said, “With your votes, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and I will restore dignity, humility, vision, and experience to the presidency. The TIME for CHANGE is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on 7th December, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this nation.”

In his statement, he explained why he was running for office in December and emphasized his dedication to delivering policies that will enhance Ghanaians’ quality of life, as well as to recovering the country’s flagging economy and generating good jobs.

“On 7th December, I will need your vote to RESET our beloved country, Ghana, fix the broken economy, create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women businesses,” he pledged.

Today is one hundred and fifty (150) days to the December 7, 2024, presidential and parliamentary elections.

The TIME for CHANGE is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on 7th December, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this nation.
