The selection of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars as the deputy presidential campaign manager of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has angered the Nations Builders Corps (NABCO) trainees.
The appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, the CEO of the Nation Builders Corps, as the Deputy Presidential Campaign Manager for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a clear indication that the Vice President does not have the vulnerable youth, particularly NABCO trainees, at heart, according to a statement released on February 21, 2024, which was made available to Ghanatodayonline.
The trainees claim that Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has been utterly incompetent in answering formal requests made to his organization for the payment of the NABCO regions for nine (9) months beyond the contract’s expiration in September 2022.
They demand the immediate withdrawal of “Dr. Ibrahim Anyars from his team if his appointment as the Deputy Presidential Campaign Manager is meant to capitalize on the flipped-flopped NABCO scheme to deceive and hoodwink unemployed youth to vote for him, Enfa”.
They accused Dr. Anyars of not responding to media requests for an open explanation of the circumstances behind the NABCO areas’ delays and the eagerly anticipated launch of the career pathways transition process, which aimed to transition NABCO trainees into mainstream jobs upon the expiration of their one-year additional contract.
NABCO trainees further claimed that Dr. Ibrahim Anyars’ “insensitive posture” had “subjected vulnerable NABCO trainees into anger, hunger, and deprivation.”
“We have been crippled and left penniless and highly in debt. Our dignity has been trembled upon and our honor fed to the dogs.”
“Interestingly, these days government does not taut NABCO as an achievement because of the embarrassing fact of the unpaid nine months errands,” the trainees stated in their statement.
In an effort to overturn the NABCO and win the general elections in 2024, the NABCO trainees declared that they will intercept any political statements and banners.
