The Russian Embassy in Ghana has offered proof to support its earlier assertions that Ghana’s rising food costs are not the result of the invasion of Ukraine.
On July 1, the Russian Embassy tweeted that it was incorrect to attribute the rise in food prices in Africa to Russia.
The Embassy claimed that the Ghanaian media had fallen into a Western plot to accuse Russia of driving up food prices globally.
The Russian Embassy reiterated its allegations in a new tweet on Tuesday that Ghana’s economic problems are unrelated to the invasion of Ukraine by providing a comprehensive list of imports from other nations.
