The Ghana Education Service (GES) has placed the bursar, matron, and storekeeper of Somé Senior High School (SHS) under arrest for allegedly stealing school-owned food supplies.

They were identified by the GES as Alex Obuadi (storekeeper), Yorm Dzikumu (matrons), and Richard Ametorxe (bursar) in a press release announcing their interdiction.

Their suspension is effective immediately while additional research into the purported theft of complimentary SHS food items is conducted.

They must turn them over to the school’s headmaster.

The chief of public relations, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, signed a press release dated May 27, 2024, on behalf of the GES, stating that the investigation committee has been given two weeks to turn in its report to management.
