Members of Parliament have been called back from break for an emergency meeting by Speaker of the House Alban Sumana Bagbin.
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Majority Leader, asked the Speaker of Parliament to recall the House, which prompted the action.
Afenyo-Markin had earlier said that the Speaker’s decision to adjourn the meeting indefinitely on Tuesday, July 30, had angered the Majority Caucus.
Nonetheless, Speaker Bagbin called a special session of the House on September 3 at 10 a.m. in a communiqué released on Wednesday, August 7.
