Stonebwoy wins TGMA Artist of the year

The renowned Artiste of the Year title has been won by legendary Afro-Dancehall performer Livingstone Etse Satekla, best known by his stage as Stonebwoy, at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Though he was up against fierce competition from fellow Ghanaian musicians Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Sarkodie, Nacee, and Black Sherif, he eventually prevailed.

Stonewoy has won the coveted Artiste of the Year award twice, and this incredible victory cemented his status as a major force in Ghanaian music.

Stonebwoy was the biggest winner of the evening with six wins after receiving eleven nominations.

The renowned Afro-dancehall performer now becomes one of just two artists, along with Sarkodie, to have taken home the coveted Artiste of the Year award twice since its establishment in 1999.

The International Conference Centre’s Grand Arena hosted the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards on June 1.
