Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged Ghanaians to refrain from overflowing the public with predictions and instead provide prayers and moral support to President John Dramani Mahama and his government.
Mr. Nketia told mourners during the Islamic funeral for the late Alhaji Mohammed Muniru, one of the eight victims of the horrific helicopter crash last Wednesday, that everything in life happens according to God’s plan, whether he is known as Allah or the Almighty.
He acknowledged the potential significance of predictions but warned against letting them eclipse the necessity of resilience, solidarity, and national unity during this trying time.
Mr. Nketia reiterated the NDC government’s resolve to “reset the country” in spite of the growing number of dire predictions for the country.
His comments follow recent predictions and words from various religious leaders that have gone viral on social media, alerting people to more concerning things to come.
