Suspected mad man kills father over alcohol

Yaw, a 40-year-old man, is said to have fatally slashed his 72-year-old father Yaw Bronya with a knife.

In Adansi Akotreso, in the Asante Region’s Adansi South District, the father was allegedly fatally stabbed by the young man, who is reportedly mentally unstable, using a cutlass.

Emerging information suggests that the father’s refusal to give the young man money to purchase alcohol may have sparked the altercation.

The incident was reported by Kwabena Amoateng on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM.

Police are currently holding the young man.

He said that after the young man asked for the money and was turned down, he got into a fight with the father.

Peter Awoso, he claimed, attacked the father while he was asleep.

It was too late before the locals learned of the situation.

The corpse was subsequently placed in the morgue.
