According to reports, a 38-year-old taxi driver was fatally stabbed at the F2 hotel in Akom, which is located in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region.

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at around 3:30 am, unknown gang members are accused of stabbing the dead, Afrifa Foster.

According to several eyewitnesses, the victim was stabbed after attempting to protect a young man who was being attacked by unidentified gang members.

In an interview with Ghanatodayonline.com Reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng, a former Assembly Member for the Area named Hon. Oteng stated that the deceased had gone to the hotel to pick up a client with his taxi cub.

“I was told Afrifa had had a call from his customers who hired his service to the hotel for a program to pick them up from the place at that particular time”.

“On his arrival at the premises of the F2 hotel, he came across a young guy beaten up by some perpetrators so he decided to rescue the victim but unfortunately one of the unknown gang men stabbed him on the chest with a sharp object”.

The former assembly member claimed that when the cab arrived at Saint Patrick Hospital, the driver passed away.

However, he said that one of the individuals believed to be a member of the gang had been apprehended by the Boaman District Police Command, and he was now aiding with investigations.
