Mr. Mahama said all contestants and parties in Nigeria’s election have faith in the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), comparing Ghana’s EC to that of Nigeria.
Mr. Mahama, who is in Nigeria to watch the election, added that all the parties affirm that INEC has heard and taken into account their worries.

During his pre-election trip in Nigeria for the West African Elders Forum (WAEF), Mr. Mahama wrote on Facebook, “One thing that has struck me is the trust all the candidates and parties have voiced in the Independent Electoral Commission.
“They all testify that INEC has listened and taken their concerns on board.
“Unfortunately, I can’t say same for my Electoral Commission (EC), which was once among the best election management agencies in the world.
“The hostility of the Chairperson of the EC and her other Commissioners to one political party is legendary.
