Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign spokesperson and director of communications, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has effectively carried out 80% of the pledges made in the 2020 manifesto.

Dennis Aboagye stated in a story on myjoyonline.com that the current administration has kept its word and achieved the party’s primary goal of bringing inflation down to zero percent between 2017 and 2024.

In an August 16, 2024, interview with JoyNews AM, Dennis Aboagye stressed, “Our manifesto, we have done just about 80%. It is 20% of what we have not been able to fulfil. We have run an analysis of our manifesto. You have it; run the analysis. Have you run an implementation of the NPP’s manifesto? What percentage did you get? We have run a test of our manifesto to determine that there are 80% of the things that we said we would do that we have been able to do.”

He acknowledged that the party has yet to implement the remaining 20% of its campaign promises but assured that the upcoming manifesto will focus on job creation for the youth.

“There is a 20% that is outstanding that we have not been able to entirely complete. Look at the macroeconomic indicators. When we came into office, one of our main objectives was to move our inflation to a single digit, which we succeeded in doing between 2017 and 2024, but today it’s around 20%.

“The manifesto is designed to ensure that the private sector not only thrives but also expands, increases production, and empowers citizens to access the opportunities generated. As businesses grow, they will naturally need to hire more people, leading to increased employment,” he said.

In Takoradi, the Western Regional Capital, on Sunday, August 18, 2024, the New Patriotic Party is scheduled to unveil its manifesto.

As a result, the party has appointed an 11-person committee to organize and carry out the launch celebration.
