A three-unit classroom block yet to be commissioned for the pupils of Mpatasie R/C JHS of Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region has been left at the mercy of marijuana(wee) smokers.

In an interview with the unit committee chairman of the community, Mr. Kwaku Boamah said, the classroom is hundred percent complete therefore find it worried that it has been left to rot.

“We find it worrying that a school building which is 100 percent complete should be abandoned for years now by the Ghana Education Fund (GETFUND) for it to deteriorate as students are studying under deplorable classrooms, we are calling on the GETFUND to do the needful and commission the school for use, because this three-unit classroom block when in operation will not serve only Mpatasie Community but also its neighboring communities” he said.

He added that the wee smokers have broken the door of one of the rooms as well as some louver glasses of the classroom.

Mr. Boamah urged the people of the town especially the youth to stay off the classroom block to avoid the anger and wrath of the authorities of the community.

Mr. Boamah pleaded with authorities to come to their aid to help fix the broken door and the glasses and commission the block for the people of Mpatasie.
