Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, a candidate for National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, has reaffirmed his commitment to forge a stronger NDC that would be more appealing to win the 2024 elections with ease.

If General Mosquito, as he is fondly known, wins the national congress on December 17, he promises that the NDC, under his chairmanship, would aggressively engage all elected executives and important party members to reenergize the grassroots base.

Mr. Nketiah, who is now campaigning in the Western region, has been meeting with delegates, party influencers, and foot soldiers all throughout the nation.

Among other things, he has pledged to reestablish the NDC Heroes Fund as a long-term way of helping party officials who become disabled while doing their responsibilities or their dependents in the case of their passing.

“My objective, at this stage in my political life and love for the NDC, is to colleague national executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to work hard and build the party into a more formidable, attractive, and modern organization”, Asiedu Nketiah stated.

“The NDC, I am optimistic will be the party of choice, especially the youth, women, the vulnerable in society and people from all walks of life and background.”he added.

Speaking to delegates in several Western Region constituencies, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah gave the party executives the assurance that, come 2024, he will work harder than ever and will join them in their areas to spread the NDC’s positive message.

He said that the NDC had no option but to choose former president John Dramani Mahama as its candidate for the next elections and urged all party officials, supporters, and sympathizers to fight hard on their behalf.

Party members are responding overwhelmingly to Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, who has already been to the northern areas, and some of them are willing to wait well into the night to speak with him.
