The people of Ashanti have been urged to have some patience for the president by a former NPP representative from the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, as their fair part of the national cake will undoubtedly be distributed.
Speaking to Prince Nii Ade (Dr. Cash) on the Dwaberem show on otec fm, COKA, as he is commonly known, said that President Nana Akuffo-Addo will not take the role Ashantians played in helping him win the 2016 and 2020 elections for granted.
People in the Ashanti region have recently complained and protested because many of them feel that they are being treated unfairly.
They contend that since assuming power, President Akufo-Addo and his NPP have exploited the area.
Since then, a few chiefs and youth organizations have expressed their dissatisfaction with the party because they believe Ashanti has not been handled fairly in terms of development initiatives.
In response to this news, the former candidate for Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman urged the people of the area to keep believing in the president as they always have since their future was already well in the works.
He promised them that the area would undergo a significant period of development by 2024.
