Veteran actor Mawuli Semevo is dead

Information reaching Ghanatodayonline.com indicates that popular actor Mawuli Semevo has died.

He was undergoing treatment at Ridge Hospital on Thursday, February 20, 2025, following burns he sustained in a fire accident around a week prior. He was sixty-three.

According to Judith Addison of Beyond Burns International, a devoted non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting burn survivors, Mawuli was critically injured in a fire accident on February 8, 2025.

“Beyond Burns International got an SOS that something unfortunate has happened. We came here today, and veteran actor Mawuli Semevo has been involved in a severe fire accident. I came here to see him, and his life is hanging in the balance,” In their social media platforms, Judith stated in the video report.

She claims that when his house caught fire, Mawuli was asleep inside.

“Up to 44% of his body has been burnt. He is unable to breathe correctly due to respiratory injuries.

This is a severe matter. between his head and legs. He lost all of his hair, and everything caught fire,” she added.

Actors like Edinam Atasti and Ken Fiati later confirmed the claim.

Mawuli Semevo is renowned for his flawless acting abilities in both films and theater.

He has appeared in films including “The Good Old Days: The Love of AA,” “A Stab in the Dark,” “Escape of Love,” “Like Cotten Twines,” and “Harvest at 17.”
