The National Democratic Congress flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, has been cursed by enraged Nkoronza Chiefs for not reaching out to them during his campaign visit of the Bono East Region.
Members of the Nkoronza Traditional Council in the Bono East Region have been enraged with John Mahama for not meeting with the Chiefs on the usual basis.
Some of the chiefs from the Nkoronza Traditional Council were heard criticizing John Mahama in a video that a local radio station posted, stating that they were disappointed in him for not reaching out to them.
They claim that, in accordance with his itinerary, they expected John Mahama to make a courtesy visit on the Paramount Chief of Nkoranza and his elders, but he instead left them waiting.
John Mahama’s acts have been characterized by the chiefs as disrespectful towards the Paramount Chief and his elders.
Consequently, the Chiefs have issued a warning to their indigenous people not to vote for the NDC in the next December 7, 2024, presidential and parliamentary elections.
An elder bemoaned, “They don’t have respect for chiefs at all. They informed us to meet at 9:00am and later changed the time to 6:00pm but still didn’t show up.”
