As he began a three-day visit of the Northern regions, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, the prospective National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, was surrounded by supporters in the Tamale South constituency.

In order to gather support while he competes in the NDC presidential primaries, Mr. Duffuor is in the area.
The former finance minister and governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), who is running for president in the NDC, claimed that only someone with the requisite expertise and credentials could handle the nation’s economic issue.

He pointed out that the NPP’s mismanagement of public funds contributed to the country’s economic decline.

Speaking to NDC party officials in Tamale, the flagbearer candidate urged party members to refrain from personal assaults in the effort to save Ghanaians from the current economic crisis.

In order to secure the crucial victory from the NPP, he continued, the party requires harmony and cooperation.

Dr. Duffuor also asked party officials to support him on May 13 in order to keep the NPP from taking over the nation.

Dr. Duffuor was advised to continue supporting the party rank and file even if it did not go in his favor during the party’s primaries by Ali Adolf, the northern regional chairman of the NDC, who welcomed the campaign team at the party headquarters.

As Dr. Duffuor and his crew arrived at the Tamale South constituency, they were greeted by a sizable throng.

He criticized the Akufo-Addo led administration for handling Ghana’s economy poorly.
The crew then traveled to the Mion, Saboba, Tatali, and Bimbilla constituencies, where they were welcomed by party executives and delegates.
