Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, the Member of Parliament(MP) for the Western region’s Wassa Amenfi East Constituency, has given 150 bags of cement and Gh2,000 to the Chiefs of Wassa Japa to aid in the completion of their ongoing construction project.

The MP added that the gesture was a part of his corporate social responsibility to institutions, people, and organizations to help them accomplish their aims even when his party, the NDC, is in opposition, during a mini-durbar hosted by the Chiefs on Monday, 29.

He claims that the chiefs asked for his help in order to finish the building, and that because of the project’s strategic and security goals, he cannot stand by and do nothing.

The MP, known as Home Boy, emphasized that he plans to build infrastructure and social amenities in Wassa Japa and Amenfi East; therefore, he urged for coordinated efforts to promote the agenda.

The honorable Nicholas Amankwah hailed the gesture as a chance to support the police’s responsibilities in the district to provide appropriate protection for the residents.

In order to deter the criminals from bothering people, Home Boy used the platform to express his concern over the recent wave of armed robberies in Wassa Amenfi East.

The Member of Parliament claims that the recent wave of armed robberies in Wassa Amenfi East will discourage investors from opening up new opportunities for investment and young employment development.

Finally, he requested additional support from organizations and people to help them complete the police project and the Clinic infrastructure on schedule and with sufficient funding.
