Former chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Afigya-Kwabre South Constituency, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has emphasized the need of unity among party members and supporters in order to fortify grassroots efforts and aid in the party’s retention of power.

In order to win and hold onto power in the general election of 2024, he stressed that cooperation, hard effort, and solidarity among party members and supporters were essential.

Odeneho Appiah, speaking during the party’s campaign launch in the Offinso South Constituency, stated that the NPP will continue to hold power if all party members continued to present a unified front in order to carry out the remaining tasks.

“We can be sure of remaining in power if we all remain united and by doing so the NDC would continue to stay in opposition,” Odeneho Appiah said.

He emphasized that in order to make sure they didn’t miss anything, party members needed to conduct door-to-door campaigning.

“After the platform, I urge everyone to go door-to-door and explain to the voters why it is crucial that they vote in order to keep the NPP in power and ensure that this election is won. Campaigns don’t end here,” he said to the jubilant audience.

They were urged by Odeneho Appiah to stop voting “skirt and blouse,” which is the practice of supporting the legislative candidate of one party while voting for the presidential candidate of another.

He continued, saying that abstaining from “skirt and blouse” vote would guarantee the party the necessary number of lawmakers to carry out its agenda.

“The way we voted in 2020 has led to the conflict in our parliament today.”

Don’t forget to vote for the flag-bearer in addition to the candidate.

He said, “This is for the benefit of our next government’s efficiency and seamless operation.

In order to carry on the numerous development initiatives now under way in the area, Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku, the MP and parliamentary candidate for Offinso South, made a plea to his followers to keep him in office.

“I am yet to complete a four-year term in office, but when you look around, you realise that a lot has changed in terms of development.”

“Yes, it may not be enough, and this is why I am appealing to you to vote for me and Dr Bawumia to enable our government to do more for our beloved constituency.”

Deputy Minister of Energy and MP for Afigya-Kwabre North Mr. Collins Adomako Mensah, the Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Kingsley Owusu Appiah, and the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Organiser Mr. Francis Adomako were among the other prominent party figures who spoke at the event.
