The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has disclosed that they have done many projects under the Nana Addo led administration in the Ashanti Region on roads.
The NPP says they have completed more roads projects than the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This was said during a press conference held in Kumasi on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Speaking at the press conference in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Communications Director Dennis Kwakwa said that in the Ashanti region the government has since in 2017 completed 264 kilometers of roads as compared to the 75 kilometers of roads by the NDC in their 8years in office.
Also, he added that 295 kilometers of urban roads have been completed and only 51.40 kilometers of urban roads have been completed by the NDC in term of office.
He said that the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had carried out various development initiatives, particularly in the Ashanti region, Ghana’s second most populated region, to raise peoples’ socioeconomic conditions and living standards.
Speaking at a news conference in Kumasi, Mr. Kwakwa said that the Ashanti region was getting its fair portion of the national cake and urged the populace to ignore any disinformation that would portray the NPP as having failed in the area.
The Communications Director asserted, “The NPP has not failed the Ashanti region; we have made significant advancements in infrastructure for health and education.”
