Akosua Serwah Fosuh of Germany has filed complaints against the funeral and estate of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, often known as Daddy Lumba, and the lawyers for the Fosu Royal Family of Parkoso and Nsuta have reacted.

The legal team stated that it was following the directions of the Fosu Family in a letter dated October 1, 2025, signed by Fati Ali-Yallah of Baba Jamal & Associates. It also made it clear that Mrs. Fosuh had no authority to decide how the family would manage the late musician’s burial arrangements.

The letter claims that Akosua Serwah Fosuh, Daddy Lumba’s former wife, declined to move to Ghana with her husband after he become gravely ill some 15 years ago.

The attorneys claimed that this was desertion and that she has subsequently offered traditional drinks to symbolize the end of their marriage, which is permitted by Akan custom.

Priscilla Ofori, also known as Odo Broni, is recognized by the Fosu family as the late musician’s wife, according to the family’s attorneys. They clarified that Odo Broni had six children with Daddy Lumba and had lived with him for more than 15 years.

Concerns regarding the allocation of the deceased musician’s assets were addressed by the attorneys, who stated that all assets are a part of his estate and would be managed cooperatively by Daddy Lumba’s family and children in order to guarantee equitable distribution. Until a fair and legal procedure was finished, they recommended all parties steer clear of the properties.

Additionally, the statement revealed that the law firm had specific instructions from Daddy Lumba before to his passing that would help the family decide on his desired funeral service and how to handle his assets.
