According to former president John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress will take no chances in its quest to retake control following the general elections of 2024.

During his campaign trip for the party’s flagbearer contest, he assured party supporters in the Tain and Banda constituencies in the Bono East Region that the NDC would emphasize the voting places in its effort to secure a mandate after the vote.

Mahama, who is running for president for a record fourth time, emphasizes the severity the NDC will take in 2024 with the use of two contentious expressions in Ghanaian political jargon.

“I have no doubt that NDC will win the 2024 elections. So, the vote will be a do or die affair and we will be matching them boot to boot at the polling station.

“When the time comes, we will take names of polling station agents and I plead that we need educated persons who can do at least arithmetic, so, that you can decipher what we really got and to ensure the biometric details match the number of papers in a ballots box.

“It doesn’t matter who in the group is senior. We require an informed individual who can be instructed to carry out the job.

You can send your schooled children to be taught for the job, he emphasized.

Mahama, who will face off against four other opponents, stated that the NDC intended to have its own findings compiled by December 7 at midnight.

With that, we will be able to announce our win by midnight when voting concludes at 5 pm.

We would have the outcomes.

To thunderous applause, he continued, “We won’t slumber on the evening of December 7th until we have guaranteed ourselves success.
