The National Buffer Stock Company has said that it sympathises with the food suppliers and will do the needful after an emergency meeting scheduled with the Board of Directors of the company.
In recent days, the Free Senior High School program’s Food Suppliers Association members have been picketing outside the National Buffer Stock Company’s office in protest of the business’s failure to pay them two years’ worth of arrears.
To voice their complaints to the NAFCO administration, several members resorted to sleeping at work.
In a statement issued by the National Buffer Stock Company they stated “An Emergency Board Meeting has been scheduled on the situation and the outcome, including a possible road-map for resolution will be shared thereafter”.
