Richard Ahiagba, the director of communications for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that the party will not release the reports of the 12-member committee that looked into why it lost the general elections in 2024.

Speaking to JoyNews, Mr. Ahiagba clarified that the report is solely meant for internal use after the party’s leadership in Accra on Wednesday got it from the committee, which was chaired by Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye.

“It is an internal document that will guide the party’s reform process and help position us for victory in 2028. So, while it may not have been explicitly stated, it is clearly implied that the document is not meant for public consumption,” he stated.

Without the report being formally made public, he stated, “there are ways our supporters will be made aware of the key issues.”

Mr. Ahiagbah emphasized that the party’s actions and strategy in the run-up to the next election will be greatly influenced by the recommendations made in the report.
