Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party’s(NPP) 2024 election campaign, has stated that the party will deliver its 2024 manifesto to Ghanaians by the end of June.
According to Miracles Aboagye, the NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s mission will serve as the manifesto committee’s guide.
“What is crucial is that each and every person that has been nominated by the flagbearer has specific skills and expertise to be able to help shape these policies for the various sectors,” Miracles Aboagye stated on Thursday, February 22, 2024, during her appearance on the Asaase Breakfast Show.
“In about 60 days (two months) it [the various manifesto sub-committees] should be shaping up and we should be expecting the NPP’s manifesto in about three months time.” he said.
“The manifesto committee is going to be guided by the mission of the vice-president and he is quite, they should have extensive stakeholder engagement about what the plan is and get inputs and feedbacks from all stakeholders to ensure that we come up with a manifesto that is widely accepted and people can align with,” Mr Aboagye stated.
The NPP’s 2024 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assembled a team to draft the party platform.
The committee’s assignment is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the party’s prior platform documents from the elections of 2016 and 2020.
Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu will serve as the chair of the 2024 manifesto committee, with Kojo Oppong Nkrumah serving as vice chairman and Evron Hughes as secretary.
