The National Democratic Congress (NDC), which is in opposition to the ruling New Patriotic Party, has reaffirmed its resolve to bring criminal charges against corrupt party members in order to discourage future administrations.

The NPP administration’s officials’ careless misappropriation of public monies would not go unpunished, according to Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, General Secretary of the NDC.

Speaking with media in Accra on Wednesday, Mr. Kwetey urged Ghanaians to support the NDC in order to force the NPP out of power in the election scheduled for December 7.

“And a group of this nature, the best way to deal with them is to first and foremost get them out of power. The people of Ghana must rally together to make sure that these people are prosecuted so that an example is set once and for all for generations to come.

“That you simply cannot become leaders of a country and become such a group of insensitive, corrupt and uncaring people. So that is what it has to be. December 7 must be a day for the people of Ghana to speak,” Mr Kwetey said.

Ahead of the general election on December 7, the NDC has revealed its national campaign team.

Regional campaigns will be overseen by Joseph Yammin, who will work alongside Campaign Coordinator Fifi Kwetey.

The NDC’s national chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, is a member of the Campaign Steering Committee, which will provide direction to the National Campaign Team.
