Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament(MP) for the Abetifi Constituency, has reaffirmed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) position that it will not cede power to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the nearing general elections of 2024.
He claims that in order to win the elections scheduled for December 2024, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which is comprised of pastors, imams, and traditionalists, would employ all available tactics.
“Before I end my speech, I want to reiterate that whether the NDC likes it or not, they will never win the 2024 elections. They won’t win. Go and check their records, they won’t win. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is there to win elections.
“So whichever means we will use to win the 2024 elections, we will use it. We are a political party. We have pastors, Imams, and traditionalists in the party. Ours is to win the elections. So whichever means we will use to win the elections, we will use it,” he reaffirmed his position.
The MP, who also holds the position of Minister of Agriculture, made these statements in front of an charged group of NPP supporters while on a campaign trip in Nsawam, Eastern Region, which Ghanatodayonline was able to witness.
The Abetifi MP believes that the NDC would never win the elections scheduled for December 7.
He went on to say that anybody who take offense at his remarks need to “go and burn the sea.”
“If you don’t understand, go and burn the sea. We will win the elections and continue the good works of the NPP. Nsawam, we thank you, God bless you,” Mr Acheampong stated.
