Today, Friday, August 11, 2023, the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for this academic year has concluded nationwide.
The 2023 BECE officially started on Monday, August 7, 2023.
For the BECE, more than 600,000 candidates applied.
The amount for this year reflects a significant 5.4% increase over last year.
The candidates, who attended both private and public junior high schools, were made up of roughly 300,323 males and 300,391 females, according to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
There will be 18,993 educational institutions involved in the exam, and 2,137 locations have been set aside to house the candidates.
The kids began their journey with the English Language and Religious and Moral Education papers and finished with French today.
