26-year-old man hangs himself at Aburi Gardens

The Aburi Botanical Gardens in the Eastern area are the scene of the reported suicide of a man in his fifties.
On Friday, January 12, 2023, the body of the guy known as Agya Awuah was discovered hanging from a tree in the garden with a rope around his neck.

The deceased apparently entered the grounds at daybreak through an unauthorized way.
His first effort failed when a branch of the tree collapsed, but his second try regrettably was successful.
Days before to the event, the deceased allegedly made a suicide threat due to difficulty.

Seth Asare, an Assemblyman for the Aburi North Electoral Area, claims that the police removed the deceased’s body and left it in the hospital while they conducted a more thorough investigation.
This is the second suicide event that has been reported in the Eastern area this year.

A young guy, said to be around 26 years old, was discovered hanged dead on a tree in Yohe, a rural settlement in Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in the Eastern region, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at around 6:00pm.
The victim, who was only named as Teye, was a local.
