A 34-year-old man was found guilty of murder and given the death by hanging penalty by the Cape Coast High Court.
The deceased, known in Assin Fosu as Kankani, and the prisoner Kofi Adjei, also known as Chilling, got into a fight.
As a result, the prisoner used scissors to stab the victim, killing him.
Adjei was accordingly given a death by hanging sentence by the Cape Coast High court after the Attorney General brought charges.
As a result, the offender was transferred to the Nsawam Minimum Security Prisons.
Meanwhile, some of the locals expressed their satisfaction with the court’s decision in an interview with Yaw Boagyan a reporter in Central Region.
Residents claim that this is not the convict’s first involvement in such crimes and murders.
