The calendar for the 2024 presidential and legislative elections has been made public by the Electoral Commission (EC), and it states that nominations for candidates will be accepted from September 9 to September 13.
On September 23, 2024, ballots for presidential and legislative offices will be cast, marking the pinnacle of the political season.
If all goes according to plan, the EC intends to announce the results of the 2024 presidential votes within three days of the voting process, according to the Ghanatodayonline.com.
May 7–May 27, 2024 is when voters can register to vote. On May 30, 2024, a nationwide program to replace lost voter ID cards will start.
A 56-day public education campaign, scheduled to run from April 1 to May 26, 2024, will take place prior to the registration.
Political parties will get the provisional voters’ register between July 9 and July 18, 2024, and it will be on display from July 15 to July 24, 2024. Between August 30 and September 5, 2024, the final voter registration will be turned in.
